Host Dick Clark

Dick Clark made his debut as permanent host of "Bandstand" on Philadelphia TV 
station WFIL when original host Bob Horn was arrested for driving while intoxicated
and was subsequently fired by the station. Clark had been a disc jockey on WFIL
radio and had substituted for Horn when he went on vacation. The name of the 
show was changed to "American Bandstand" in August of 1957 when it went
national to ABC-TV.

This song is ranked No. 158 on the Rolling Stone magazine’s list
of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Steve Lawrence is best known as a member of a duo with his wife Eydie
Gormé, billed as "Steve and Eydie". The two appeared together since
appearing regularly on Tonight Starring Steve Allen in the mid-1950s
until Gormé’s retirement.
