Cool here, and a Happy New Year to all of our loyal readers! We wish you a very happy and prosperous 2014! Here at PDX Retro we strive to provide you with the most current and accurate information possible and from time to time we like to include some “little known facts” about the people we post about. Take Barbara Rush for instance…..she was a backup singer for power rock trio “Rush” named after her of course, back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. She was also the mother of Northwest rocker, Merrilee Rush of “Merrilee Rush and the Turnabouts”, discovered by another Northwest favorite, “Paul Revere and the Raiders” back in the mid 60’s! Now before you all “rush” to have me committed, let me assure you that I am just messin’ with you! Barbara was never with power rock group, “Rush” and she was not Merrilee Rush’s mother!. It’s just that my imagination and sense of humor get the better of me sometimes, kind of like NOW and I just couldn’t wait until April 1st which would have been a more appropriate time to spring this on you! Thank you for understanding and happy birthday Barbara from your friends here at PDX Retro!
Happy Birthday, sorry so late just found you.
Barbara you are just a very beautiful woman and I loved all your movies especially Robin and 7 hoods.
