Mickey Rooney (Joseph Yule, Jr.) (September 23, 1920 – April 6, 2014)
According to reports,Rooney had been "in ill health for quite some time,"
and died Sunday. At the time of his death, he was working on a film called
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
SEQUEL TO 1986 CULT CLASSIC PLANNED!
A sequel to “The Goonies” may finally materialize. According to Variety, director
Richard Donner was quoted as saying that he plans to bring back the entire
original cast for the “follow-up” to his 1986 cult classic. “It will happen,” he said.
“I’m 1000 percent certain there will be a sequel. I will bet my children on it.”
Donner didn’t mention whether the film will follow the gang 28 years later or
feature them in cameo roles.
