Moses Eugene Malone (March 23, 1955 – September 13, 2015)
Moses Malone was a Hall of Fame basketball player who starred in both the
American Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association.
He was a three-time NBA MVP and a member of the NBA’s 50th Anniversary
All-Time Team, Malone was the most successful prep-to-pro player of his era,
going straight from Petersburg High to a 21-year career in professional
basketball. Malone died in his sleep from an apparent heart attack Sunday
in Norfolk, Virginia.
