SHOW DEBUT ON THIS DAY IN 1946

Heart’s Desire was a giveaway contest program on the Mutual
Broadcasting System,  hosted by Ben Alexander. The show aired
for 30-minutes, five days a week. It was initially a self-supporting 
program of MBS, later Phillip Morris & Company Limited began to
sponsor half of the show. It was on the air for approximately two
years.

    Cool here and I vaguely remember overhearing this conversation……….”What do you think Joe? Stay here in the studio with air conditioning and give away neat stuff…..or chase bad guys around with you in the HOT SoCal sun? I guess we all know what Joe’s answer was as “Joe and Frank” chased the bad guys around 1952 to 1959!

    In case you have forgotten, time does have a tendency to do that to some of us, the show was…..hmmm you say you need a hint! Ok then, here you go…..DUM-DA-DUM-DUM!
    The show was DRAGNET, also running on television for many years, reappearing once again on television as Badge 714, from 1967-1970
