Terence Steven "Steve" McQueen was born in Indiana 
(March 24, 1930 – November 7, 1980)

Steve McQueen starred in the 1968 action film, Bullitt. He was nicknamed the
King of Cool when he was acting in the ’60s & ’70s, and was nominated for an
Academy Award for his role in The Sand Pebbles (1966). He also starred in
The Magnificent Seven (1960) and The Great Escape (1963). McQueen died 
in his sleep of cardiac arrest,12 hours after surgery to remove or reduce
numerous metastatic tumors in his neck and abdomen. He was 50.
