William John Neeson was born in Northern Ireland. He has received several awards throughout his career, including nominations for an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, two Tony Awards,
three
Golden Globe Awards and the Venice Film Festival‘s Volpi
Cup
. In 2020, he was placed 7th on The Irish Times list of Ireland’s
50 Greatest Film Actors. Neeson was appointed
Officer of the Order
of the British Empire
(OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000.

On June 7, 1972, the production opened at the
Broadhurst
Theatre
on Broadway, and on November 21, it moved to the
Royale Theatre there, where it ran until January 27, 1980.

For the five final weeks of the run, the show moved to the
larger
Majestic Theatre. By the time it closed on April 13,
1980, it had run 3,388 performances.

J. Wellington Wimpy (above), generally referred to as Wimpy, is
one of the characters in the
comic strip
Popeye, by E. C. Segar           
and originally called Thimble Theatre, and in the Popeye
cartoons
  based upon the strip. Wimpy debuted in the strip
in 1931 and was one of the dominant characters in the
newspaper strip, but when 
Popeye was adapted as an
animated cartoon series by Fleischer
Studios, Wimpy
