Martin Milner and George Maharis
On October 7, 1960, the first episode of the one-hour television
drama "Route 66" aired on CBS. The program had a simple
premise: It followed two young men, Buz Murdock (George
Maharis) and Tod Stiles (Martin Milner), as they drove across
the country in an inherited Corvette (Chevrolet was one of the
show’s sponsors), doing odd jobs and looking for adventure
while on a journey in search of themselves.
The Misfits is a 1961 Contemporary Western film written by
Arthur Miller, directed by John Huston, and starring Clark
Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and Montgomery Clift (above). The
supporting cast includes Thelma Ritter and Eli Wallach.
The Misfits was the last completed film for both Clark Gable
and Marilyn Monroe. For Gable, the film was posthumously
released, while Monroe died in August 1962 after its release.
Adapted by Miller from his own short story of the same name
published in Esquire in October 1957.

The ABC television series aired between 1966 and
1968.
On July 15, 1988, Die Hard, an action film starring Bruce
Willis as wisecracking New York City cop John McClane,
opened in theaters across the country. A huge box-office
hit, the film established Willis as a movie star and spawned
three sequels. Die Hard also became Hollywood shorthand
for describing the plot of other actions films, as in “Speed
is Die Hard on a bus.”

Tom Sizemore is known for his supporting roles in Born on
the Fourth of July (1989), Harley Davidson and the Marlboro
Man (1991), Passenger 57 (1992), True Romance (1993),
Natural Born Killers (1994), Strange Days (1995), Heat (1995),
Saving Private Ryan (1998), Red Planet (2000), Black Hawk
Down (2001), Pearl Harbor (2001), and the revival television
series Twin Peaks (2017), and for voicing Sonny Forelli in the
video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002).
On February 18, 2023, Sizemore suffered a ruptured brain
aneurysm at his Los Angeles home that occurred as a result
of a stroke and was hospitalized where remained in critical
condition, in a coma and in intensive care and never
regained conciseness."
