A GREAT SONG BY THE BEACH BOYS!

God Only Knows is one of the most widely recognized songs from the 1966
album Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys. It was one of the first commercial songs
to use the word ‘God’ in its title. Mojo magazine ranked the song as the 13th
greatest song of all time and was named the best song of the 1960s by Pitchfork
Media. Its at #25 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.

Actress Mary Cathleen Collins, better known as Bo Derek received a Golden
Globe nomination for new star of the year for her role as Jenny Hanley in the
1979 comedy film 10. She makes an occasional film, television or documentary appearance today.  In 2006, Bo Derek was appointed to the Board of Trustees
of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts by President George W.
Bush, serving on the Operations Committee.

Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra professionally known as Meg Ryan, is a
actress and producer. She began her acting career in 1981 in minor roles,
before joining the cast of the CBS-TV soap As the World Turns in 1982. Ryan
then began appearing supporting roles in several independent big screen films
such Promised Land (1987) and the Rob Reiner-directed romantic comedy
When Harry Met Sally (1989). The film brought her first recognition and
Golden Globe nominations. In the 1990s, Ryan starred in popular romantic
comedy films, including Sleepless In Seattle (1993).

Imogene Fernandez de Coca (November 18, 1908 – June 2, 2001)

Imogene was best known for her role opposite Sid Caesar on the NBC-TV 
series Your Show of Shows (1950-1954). She was nominated for five Emmy
awards for the show, winning Best Actress in 1951 and was singled out for 
a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting in 1953. Though her fame
began late, she worked well into her 80s.

Johnny-Mercer

John Herndon "Johnny" Mercer
(November 18, 1909 – June 25, 1976)
 

Mercer was a lyricist, songwriter and singer. From the mid-1930 through the mid-
1950s, many of the songs Mercer wrote and performed were among the most
popular hits of the time. He wrote the lyrics to more than fifteen hundred songs
including compositions for films and Broadway shows. He received nineteen
Academy Award nominations and won four. Johnny Mercer was also a co-
founder of Capital Records.


“Baby It’s Cold Outside” was recorded on March 18, 1949
and first reached the Billboard Best Seller chart on May 6. It
lasted 19 weeks on the chart, peaking at number four.
