Yul Brynner was a Russian born American actor of stage and film who was
best known for his portrayal of Mongkut, king of Siam, in the Rodgers and
Hammerstein musical The King and I (1951). Brynner won an Academy
Award for Best Actor for the film version of the musical (1956). He is also
remembered as Rameses ll in the 1956 film The Ten Commandments and
as Chris Adams in The Magnificent Seven (1960). He was also an avid
photographer and the author of two books.

Tom Hanks is a actor, producer, writer, and director. He gained wide notice
in the 1988 film Big. Other films by Hank’s include Forrest Gump (1994),
Apollo 13 (1995), Saving Private Ryan (1998) and Cast Away (2000). He
did the voicing for the character Woody in the Toy Story franchise (1995,
1999, and 2010). Tom won consecutive Best Actor Academy Awards, in
1993 for Philadelphia and in 1994 for Forrest Gump. He is the father of
actor Colin Hanks.

The first certified gold record album was presented by the Recording Industry
Association of America (RIAA).The award went to the original soundtrack album
of the 1955 Academy Award winning film Oklahoma! The soundtrack charted #1
on the Billboard Pop Album Chart in 1956 and went “multi-platinum” in 1992.
