Deborah Anne "Debby" Boone

Pop singer Debby Boone, whose single "You Light Up My Life" was a #1 hit
has won multiple Grammy Awards for her contributions to contemporary
music and Christian albums. She began touring with her father, singer Pat
Boone at the age of fourteen. Debby pursued a solo career after being
encouraged by record company executive Mike Curb.

TV SERIES BEGAN ON THIS DAY IN 1963

The Fugitive is a drama series created by Roy Huggins. It was produced
by QM Productions and United Artists Television. It aired on ABC from
1963 to 1967. David Janssen (above) stars as Richard Kimble. The
show was nominated for five Emmy Awards and won the Emmy for
Outstanding Dramatic Series
in 1966.

Edward Franklin Albee III  (March 12, 1928 – September 16, 2016)

NEW YORK (AP) — Three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Edward
Albee, who challenged theatrical convention in masterworks such as
“Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” and “A Delicate Balance,” died Friday.

His personal assistant Jackob Holder said Albee died at his home in
Montauk, east of New York, No cause of death was immediately given,
although he had suffered from diabetes. With the deaths of Arthur Miller
and August Wilson in 2005, Edward Albee was arguably America’s greatest
living playwright.

Keanu Reeves played Neo in The Matrix trilogy (1991), a role for which
he won a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Actor in an
Action Film. He originally intended on becoming an Olympic hockey
player for Canada but a serious injury ended this dream.

Conway Twitty (Harold Lloyd Jenkins) was born in  
Mississippi
. (September 1, 1933 – June 5, 1993)

Country superstar Conway Twitty recorded fifty-five singles
that reached #1, including "I Can’t Stop Loving You" and
"Hello Darlin.” He was inducted into both the Country Music
and Rockabilly Halls of Fame. Conway Twitty formed his first
singing group after his family moved to Helena, Arkansas.

He had the opportunity to play baseball professionally with
the Philadelphia Phillies, but was then drafted into the US
Army. He served in the Far East and organized a group
called The Cimmerons to entertain fellow GIs.
