Margaret O Brien today

Margaret O’Brien is a film and stage actress. Though her film career as a
lead character was a brief one, O’Brien was one of the most popular child
actors in film history. Her most memorable role was as "Tootie" in Meet Me
in St. Louis
(1944), opposite Judy Garland (below). In her later years, she
appeared on stage and in various supporting roles in films.

Buffalo Bill, Jr. is a Western TV series starring Dickie Jones. It aired in syndication
from March 1, 1955, until September 21, 1956. In 1964, the series aired on ABC Saturday mornings for one year.

Actor Dickie Jones turns 85 on the 27th of February. He
is best known as the voice of Pinocchio in the 1940 Walt
Disney film.

Ding Dong School was a half-hour children’s TV show which began on Wednesday, November 24, 1952 on WNBQ-TV (now WMAQ-TV) in Chicago, Illinois. It was the first educational children’s program and was hosted by Dr. Frances R. Horwich (aka “Miss Frances”) who was the head of the Department of Education at Chicago’s Roosevelt College. The last show aired on Friday, December 28, 1956.

Howdy Doody was a children’s television program on NBC featuring a freckle-faced
boy puppet (Howdy) and his marionette friends. The show was hosted by Buffalo
Bob Smith and Clarabell the Clown (Bob Keeshan). It first aired on Saturday,
December 27, 1947 and ran till September 24, 1960.The pioneering children’s
show was a template for many similar show to follow.

"Rodeo Ray" is filling in for a vacationing Buffalo Bob Smith on this
episode of Howdy Doody. Smith pre-recorded Howdy’s voice.

"A Visit from St. Nicholas", also known as "The Night Before Christmas" and
“Twas the Night Before Christmas" from its first line, is a poem first published anonymously in the Troy, New York, Sentinel on December 23, 1823. It is
generally attributed to Clement Clarke Moore, although the claim has also
been made that it was written by Henry Livingston, Jr. Four hand-written
copies of the poem are known to exist, and three are in museums.
