STORE FOUNDER BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1918

Samuel Moore "Sam" Walton (March 29, 1918 – April 5, 1992)

Walton is the founder of Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart Stores. He got the idea
for a wholesale supermarket as a youth during the Great Depression.

Sam Walton open his first Wal-Mart store in Rogers, Arkansas in
1962.
