Richard Fremont Dauer (July 27, 1952 – February 3, 2025)

(LBS) – Former Houston Astros coach Rich Dauer has died at the
age of 72. He underwent an emergency brain surgery in 2017, 
the day of the team’s World Series celebration.

Dauer played for the Baltimore Orioles from 1976-1985 and won
the World Series with them in 1983. As a player, he was known
for his great glove in the infield.

Former NBA champion player and coach Chris Ford, who
rose to prominence during his time with the Boston Celtics,
has died Tuesday. He made the first 3-pointer in NBA history
on Oct. 12, 1979.

Paul Theron Silas (July 12, 1943 – December 11, 2022)

(UPI) – Paul Silas was a College Basketball Hall of Famer
and three-time NBA champion. 

John Earl Madden (April 10, 1936 – December 28, 2021)

John Madden was a football coach and sportscaster. He served as
the head coach of the Oakland Raiders of the National Football
League (NFL) for 10 seasons, and helmed the team to a victory in
Super Bowl XI. After retiring from coaching, he became a well-
known color commentator for NFL Cause of death not known
at this time. He was at 85.
