The Phil Silvers Show (originally titled You’ll Never Get Rich) is a comedy
television series which aired on CBS from Tuesday September 20, 1955
to September 11, 1959 for a total of 142 black and white episodes, plus
a 1959 special. The star of the series was comedian Phil Silvers as U.S.
Army Master Sergeant Ernest G. Bilko.

CASSANDRA ‘’ELVIRA’’ PETERSON IS 60 TODAY
Actress Cassandra Peterson is best known for her on-screen horror hostess
character Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. She gained fame on Los Angeles TV
station KHJ as host of Movie Macabre, a weekly horror movie show. During
her teens in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Peterson worked as a go-go
dancer at a local bar. After graduating from high school, she moved to Las
Vegas, Nevada, where she became a showgirl at The Dunes. She had a
small role as a showgirl in the 1971 James Bond film Diamonds Are
Forever. Cassandra reportedly dated Elvis Presley for a short.
