William Henry "Bill" Gates III was born in Seattle, Washington

Business magnate Bill Gates is an investor, programmer inventor and
philanthropist. He is the former chief executive and current chairman
of Microsoft, the world’s largest personal-computer software company,
which he co-founded with Paul Allen.

The IBM Personal Computer (PC) was introduced at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel
in New York City. It was created by a team of engineers and designers under
the direction of Don Estridge of the IBM Entry Systems Division in Boca Raton,

     Douglas Carl Engelbart (January 30, 1925 – July 2, 2013) 

Engelbart was the director of Stanford Research Institute’s Augmentation
Research Center in San Francisco. He is best known for his work on the
challenges of human/computer interaction, resulting in the invention of
the computer mouse in 1968.

Douglas Engelbart was born in Portland, Oregon and graduated from
Franklin High School in 1942. He then attended and graduated from
Oregon State College at Corvallis. Engelbart died late Tuesday in
San Francisco. The cause of his death wasn’t announced.
