Priscilla Ann Presley (Wagner) was born in Brooklyn, New York.

Priscilla was the wife of singer Elvis Presley from 1967 to 1973 and played a
role on the CBS television series Dallas (April 1978 – May 1991). She made
her TV debut in 1983, playing Sandy Redford in the TV film Love Is Forever.

The song "A Teenager’s Romance" is a song written by David Gillam and
performed by Ricky Nelson. It reached #2 on the Billboard Top 100 in 1957
and was ranked #25 on Billboard magazine’s Top Hot 100 songs of the same 
year. The records A-side, "I’m Walkin’", reached #4 on the Billboard chart  
and #10 on the R&B chart.

              Parton and her Uncle Bill Owens.

On this day in 1939, Ted Williams made his Major League
Baseball debut with the Boston Red Sox.

John J. McDermott of New York won the first Boston Marathon with
a time of 2:55:10.

The Boston Marathon was the brainchild of Boston Athletic Association member
and inaugural U.S. Olympic team manager John Graham, who was inspired by
the marathon at the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. Fifteen
runners started the race but only 10 made it to the finish line.

John J. "J.J." McDermott was born
in Ireland  in 1871 or 1872. He was
a lithographer by trade.
