Wilder is a retired stage and screen actor, comedian, director, screenwriter,
author and activist. He began his career on stage, and made his screen
debut in the TV-series Armstrong Circle Theatre in 1962. Although his first
film role was portraying a hostage in the 1967 motion picture Bonnie and
Clyde
, Wilder’s first major role was as Leopold Bloom in the 1968 film The
Producers
for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best
Supporting Actor. He is also well-known for his performance as Willy
Wonka in the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 1971.

Americus F. Callahan of Chicago, Illinois received the first
patent for
a windowed business or commercial envelope. It
was originally called
the "outlook envelop", with the patent calling for the use of thin
rice
paper
as the transparent material forming the window, though this
material has since been replaced by clear plastics. The design has
otherwise
remained nearly unchanged.

James Darren (James William Ercolani) began his career as a
teen
idol
after,  being discovered by talent agent and casting director
Joyce Selznick. He was given roles in films, most notably, the role
Moondoggie in Gidget in 1959. He also
had a string of pop hits for
Colpix Records, the biggest of which was "Goodbye Cruel World"
(#3 on the
Billboard Hot 100 in 1961). It sold over one million copies,
and was awarded a gold disc
. Another big hit was "Her Royal Majesty"
(#6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1962). Darren later had a regular role
as Officer James Corrigan on the television police drama T. J. Hooker
from 1983–1986 (ABC/CBS).
