Richard Percy Jones (February 25, 1927 – July 7, 2014)
Jones achieved some success as a child actor and as a young adult,
especially in B-Westerns and television. He is probably best known as
the voice of Pinocchio in the 1940 Walt Disney film Pinocchio. He died
at his home on July 7 from natural causes.
The Walt Disney short cartoon was shown at Disneyland in the
Fantasyland Theater as part of the 3D Jamboree. This film was
the first in a proposed series of shorts teaching the principles of
music, called Adventures in Music. Only one other film in the series
was made, Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom.
