The General Electric Theater was produced by MCA-TV/Revue, was broadcast every Sunday evening at 9:00pm, EST, beginning February 1, 1953 and ending May 27, 1962. Each of the estimated 209 television episodes was an adaptation of a novel, short story, play, film, or magazine fiction. On September 26, 1954, Ronald Reagan debuted as the only host of the program.
The well-known criminals Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow traveled the Central U.S.with their gang the “Barrow Gang” during the Great Depression. The gang is believed to have killed at least nine police officers and committed several civilian murders. The couple themselves were eventually ambushed and killed on a rural road in Louisiana by law officers. Their exploits became a major part of American pop folklore with the1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.

Adrian Cronauer is a former U.S. Air Forcesergeant and radio personality whose experiences as a popular Armed Forces Radio Service deejay in Vietnam inspired the 1987 film Good Morning, Vietnam, starring Robin Williams. Cronauer co-wrote the original story for the film. He was based in Saigon from 1965 to 1966. He called his program the “Dawn Buster”.
Cronauer earned a master’s degree in Media Studies from the New School for Social Research in New York City and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. His practice concentrated on information and communications law. He was also the head of an advertising agency and later worked as a special assistant to the Director of the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office. Cronauer will turn 74 in September.
George Orson Welles(May 6, 1915 – October 10, 1985)
Welles was an actor, director, writer and producer who worked extensively in theater, radio and film. He is best remembered for his debut of the Mercury Theatre; The War of the Worlds (1938), the most famous broadcast in the history of radio; and Citizen Kane (1941), which many critics and scholars name as the best film of all time.
