Billy Joel learned boxing to defend himself from bullies, and won twenty-
two bouts in the amateur Golden Gloves circuit. He played the piano at
bars to help support his mother while in high school.

Merle Ronald Haggard (April 6, 1937 – April 6, 2016)
(URGENT UPDATE) – Concerts for April were cancelled due to his ongoing
battle with double pneumonia. Haggard died today on his 79th birthday.
