‘SCREAM QUEEN’ HAS DIED AT 65

              Marilyn Burns (born 1949/1950 – died August 5, 2014)

Burns was best known for her roles in Tobe Hooper‘s cult horror films The Texas
Chain
Saw Massacre
(1974), and Eaten Alive (1977). She also portrayed Linda 
Kasabian in the three-time Emmy-nominated CBS miniseries Helter Skelter (1976).

Burns was found dead Tuesday by family members at her Houston, Texas home,
cause of death was not given. An autopsy will be performed.

Wesley Earl "Wes" Craven was born in Cleveland, Ohio

Wes Craven was the director of the classic horror film  A Nightmare on Elm
Street
in 1984. His first mainstream film was in 1972 with The Last House on
the Left.
Craven also earned recognition for his work on the 1996 film Scream.

series Lassie from 1954 to 1973 and Lost in Space on CBS from 1965
to 1968.

She originally started in theater and made her film debut in A Christmas
Carol
opposite of her actor parents.
