LEONARD NIMOY IS 83 TODAY
A 20 year old Leonard Nimoy in 1952
Leonard Simon Nimoy is best known for his role of Spock in the
original Star Trek series (1966–1969). He received three Emmy
Award nominations during the series. Nimoy began acting at
the age of eight in local theater productions.
VETERAN ACTOR IS 85 YEARS OLD TODAY
James Hong has starred in over 350 productions during a career spanning
more that 50 years. He played Lo Pan in “Big Trouble in Little China (1986).
After deciding to forgo a career in civil engineering, he started training with
prominent acting teacher Jeff Corey.
Hong currently lives in Los Angeles and is planning to produce and direct
his own films.
TERRIFYING TWINS, THEN AND NOW
Twins Lisa and Louise Burns, at age 12, played the Grady daughters in the
well-known Stanley Kubrick 1980 horror film The Shining. The 46-year-old
sisters still take the time to recognize the role that made them famous. They
regularly appear at horror flick conventions. Lisa studied literature and Louise
became a microbiologist.
ACTOR SCOTT GLENN IS 73 TODAY
Glenn’s roles have included Wes Hightower in Urban Cowboy (1980),
astronaut Alan Shepard in The Right Stuff (1983), Emmett in Silverado
(1985), Commander Bart Mancuso in The Hunt for Red October (1990),
and Jack Crawford in The Silence of the Lambs (1991).
