Joan Davis originally appeared on the Rudy Vallee Show in 1941, and quickly
became a regular. When
Vallee left his show in 1943 to join the Coast Guard,
Davis took over with great success until 1945 when she left to do Joanie’s
Tea Room
on
CBS radio (1945 – 1947).
