President Eisenhower sits in a wheelchair after being released from
Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver

On Saturday September 24, 1955, President Dwight D. Eisenhower suffered
a heart attack while vacationing in Denver, Colorado. He spent seven weeks
on the 8th floor of Fitzsimmons Army Hospital. In November the President
returned to Washington and then on to his farm in Gettysburg to recuperate.

Marcus Welby, M.D. is a medical drama that aired on ABC-TV from Tuesday
September 23, 1969, to July 29, 1976. The pilot, A Matter of Humanities, had
previously aired as a ABC Movie of the Week on March 26, 1969. The shows
handling of many varied medical cases, some common and some uncommon,
made it an instant hit for ABC.

M*A*S*H is a television series adapted from the 1970 feature film MASH, which was
itself based on the 1968 novel MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors, written by Richard Hooker. The medical drama/black comedy series premiered on September
17, 1972 and ended February 28, 1983. The final episode became the most watched television show in U.S. television history with 105.97 million viewers. In 2002, M*A*S*H was ranked #25 on TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.

Newhart plays psychologist and follows his adventures as he deals with both his
patients and fellow office workers. The show was filmed before a live audience.
