Eugene Andrew "Gene" Cernan (March 14, 1934 – January 16, 2017)

(FoxNews) – Gene Cernan, an early NASA astronaut who was the last man to
set foot on the moon, died Monday, according to a NASA announced in a
tweet.

Cernan was the commander of Apollo 17 in December 1972 – the last lunar
mission and one of the final Apollo flights.

, and was recorded at Decca‘s Hollywood studios, nearly a year before
the United States entered World War II. The flip side was "Bounce Me, Brother,
With a Solid Four". The Andrews Sisters introduced both songs in the Abbott
and Costello
film, Buck Privates which was in production when they made the
record. "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" was nominated for an Academy Award for
Best Song and was ranked No. 6 on Songs of the Century.

WILLIAM CHRISTOPHER HAS DIED AT 84

William Christopher (October 20, 1932 – December 31, 2016)

(AP) – “M.A.S.H.” star William Christopher has died.

Christopher’s agent Robert Malcom said the actor died at 5:10 a.m. Saturday
at his home in Pasadena, California. He tells The Associated Press that
Christopher’s wife says her husband died peacefully.

Malcom said Christopher was diagnosed with cancer more than a year ago
and had been in hospice since the beginning of the week.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and his two sons.

Christopher is best known for the role of Father Francis Mulcahy on “M.A.S.H.,”
the 1970s TV show set during the Korean War.
