COMEDIAN TIM CONWAY IS 82 TODAY



Thomas Daniel "Tim" Conway was born in Willoughby, Ohio.

Tim Conway starred on The Carol Burnett Show on CBS (1967-1978) 
and is also known for his role as Ensign Charles Parker on the ABC
sitcom McHale’s Navy (1962-1966). He also provides the voice for
Barnacle Boy on the animated TV series Sponge Bob Square Pants.

After graduating college, Conway took a job answering mail at a local
Cleveland radio station.

"Dick" Van Dyke is 90 today.

Van Dyke, recognized as a Disney Legend, is a World War II United States
Army Air Corps
veteran. He initially served as a radio announcer and later
transferred to the Special Services as an entertainer.

BOYS HOME FOUNDED ON THIS DAY IN 1917

The original Boys Town was founded as a boys’ orphanage by Edward J. Flanagan,
a Roman Catholic priest working in Omaha. The farm village was opened to girls in
1979.

Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra (December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998)

Sinatra  was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th
century. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more
than 150 million records worldwide. Sinatra went by the nicknames Ol’ Blue Eyes
and The Chairman of the Board. He was known as the leader of The Rat Pack.
