The Canadian born actor/comedian Ducommun died on June 12 at a Vancouver hospital after suffering from complications due to diabetes.
Fellow Canadian Alan Thicke brought Ducommun to Hollywood after seeing
him on a children’s show. Ducommun also appeared in Die Hard,Groundhog
Day and Scream.
Peter Ducommun told The Associated Press that his brother stepped away
from showbiz after having a family.
The film adaptation of "Grease" premiered in New York City. Commercially, the
movie was an immediate box office success. It is the No. 1 highest-grossing
musical, to date.
Helen Elizabeth Hunt was born in Culver City, California.
Hunt co-starred with Paul Reiser in the NBC sitcom Mad About You (1992 – 1999)
and appeared in the successful films, As Good As It Gets (1997) and Twister
(1996). She also appeared in Cast Away and Pay it Forward (2000). Her first
role was at age 9 in the 1973 TV movie, Pioneer Woman (below).
