Stephen Valentine Patrick William "Steve" Allen
(December 26, 1921 – October 30, 2000)
Allen is best remembered as the first host of The Tonight Show on
NBC from 1954 to 1957. He innovated the concept of the television
talk show.
The adventure film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was the first science fiction
film produced by Walt Disney Productions, as well as the only science-fiction film personally produced by Walt Disney. It was also the first feature-length Disney
film to be distributed by Buena Vista Distribution.
