Marilyn Monroe, one of the most celebrated women in history, married
playwright, Arthur Miller in White Planes, NY. After a stormy marriage,
Marilyn divorced Miller, citing her third marriage “incompatibility of
character”. The divorce of “The Egghead and The Hourglass”, as
often referred to by the press, was finalized in January 1961.

The wedding of Broadway singer Ethel Merman and Oscar winning actor Ernest 
Borgnine is one of the shortest in Hollywood history. The marriage began falling 
apart on their honeymoon and it was soon dissolved after 32 days.

Merman, who never again married, devoted a chapter of her autobiography to
the Borgnine marriage: It consisted of one blank page.

LEGENDARY SCREENWRITER IS DEAD AT 71

              Nora Ephron (May 19, 1941 – June 26, 2012)

(Fox News)-Author, director and screenwriter Nora Ephron died today
in a New York hospital from complications from the blood disorder
myelodysplasia, with which she was diagnosed six years ago.

Nora Ephron is best remembered for her romantic comedies and was
a triple nominee for the Academy Award for Writing Original Screenplay
for three films: Slikwood (1983), When Harry Met Sally (1989), and
Sleepless in Seattle (1993). Her most recent film was Julie & Julia in
2009.

actress, best remembered as the mother in two television
series, Lassie and Lost in Space. She also played Dr. Janet
