ROCK MOVIE RELEASED ON THIS DAY IN 1956

rock

Rock, Rock, Rock is a 1956 black-and-white movie featuring musical performances
from early rock ‘n’ roll stars such as Chuck Berry and Frankie Lymon. Famous disc jockey Alan “Moondog” Freed appears as himself. The singing voice of the main character Dori Graham, played by 13-year-old Tuesday Weld, is that of Connie
Francis. The soundtrack album (shown below) is widely regarded as Chuck Berry’s
first album. Many of the artists featured in the film do not appear on the album, and
only four songs on the album ("Over and Over Again," "I Knew From the Stars,"
"You Can’t Catch Me," and "Would I Be Crying") actually appear in the film.
