MAD FILM PREMIERED ON THIS DAY IN 1963

its_a_mad_mad_mad_mad_world

It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
is a 1963 all-star Cinerama epic comedy film
produced and directed by Stanley Kramer. Two comedians of the day are absent
from the ensemble cast: Groucho Marx refused to appear when Kramer couldn’t
meet his fee, while Stan Laurel declined because he felt he was too old-looking
to be funny. It has been called the comedy to end all comedies.
