Roy Linwood Clark

Clark hosted Hee Haw on CBS television from 1969 to 1971 followed by
a 20 year run in syndication. He is a two-time winner of the National
Banjo Championship.Roy’s instrumental skill has had a great influence
on generations of bluegrass and country musicians. He is a member of
the Grand Ole Opry, since 1987 and The Country Music Hall of Fame.

(March 2, 1950 – February 4, 1983)

Singer Karen Carpenter was one-half of The Carpenters, a duo formed
along with her brother Richard in the 1970s. They are best known for the
song "We’ve Only Just Begun”. Her early death led to increased visibility
and awareness of eating disorders.
