The song "More Than a Feeling" was written by Tom Scholz and released
by the rock band Boston as the lead single from their self-titled debut album
on Epic Records with "Smokin’" on the flipside. The single peaked at number
five on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is now a staple of classic rock and in
1999 it was named the 39th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.

Frankie Avalon (Francis Thomas Avallone) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Frankie Avalon’s song "Why" became the last #1 hit of the 1950s. His film
credits include teaming frequently with Annette Funicello in a number of
popular "beach party" comedy films during the mid-1960s and Grease
(1978), He played the trumpet during his first television appearance at
age twelve.

Legendary country star Hank Williams released 35 Top-10 singles on the Billboard Country & Western Best Sellers chart and 11 #1 singles between 1948 and 1953, including "Your Cheatin’ Heart" and "Hey, Good Lookin’." Williams dropped out of
school to write music for the Drifting Cowboys, and heavily when his band mates
were drafted during World War l l, and was dismissed by radio station WSFD in
Montgomery, Alabama due to his alcoholism.
