Country singer Dolly Parton released twenty-six #1 Billboard hits,
including "Jolene," "Coat of Many Colors," and "9 to 5." She grew
up alongside eleven brothers and sisters in a one-room cabin in
Appalachia, Tennessee and learned to sing at church. Dolly Parton
received the nickname The Queen of Country Music after releasing
more #1 hits than any other country singer in U.S. history.

In 2018, Dolly Parton added two more honors to her already-
illustrious, decades-long career as she was recognized by
Guinness World Records.

Singer Sir Roderick David Stewart is 75 years old today.

British rock singer and songwriter Rod Stewart was born and raised in
London, he is of Scottish and English ancestry. Stewart is one of the
best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 120 million
records worldwide. He has had nine number-one albums in the UK
Albums Chart and his tally of 62 UK hit singles includes 31 that reached
the top ten, six of which gained the #1 position Stewart has had 16 top
ten singles in the US, with four reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He
was knighted in the 2016 Birthday Honors for services to music and
charity.

Ed Byrnes (July 30, 1932 – January 8, 2020)

Byrnes was a popular actor, best known for his starring role in the ABC 
television series 77 Sunset Strip (1958 – 1964). He also was featured in
the 1978 film Grease as television teen-dance show host Vince Fontaine,
and was a charting recording artist with "Kookie, Kookie (Lend Me your 
Comb)" (with Connie Stevens). Byrnes died at his Santa Monica home 
of natural causes.
