RECORDING BEGAN ON THIS DAY IN 1967

"Reflections” was the first Supremes record released under the new billing,
Diana Ross & the Supremes, and is also among the final singles to feature
Florence Ballard, who recorded vocals for the song during one of her last
studio sessions before she was fired on July 1.

"Best of My Love" was written by Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and J.D.
Souther
. It was originally included on their 1974 album On the Border
and was the
band’s first Billboard Hot 100 #1 single. It also topped the
easy listening chart for one week a month earlier. Billboard ranked it
as the No. 12 song for 1975.
