Frank Edward Wilson (December 5, 1940 – September 27, 2012)

Frank Wilson, a Motown songwriter and producer who worked with 
The Supremes,The Temptations and Marvin Gaye, died Thursday,
Sept. 27 after a long battle with cancer. He wrote or co-wrote the
hits "Love Child," "All I Need" and "Chained." A rare copy of his
unreleased single "Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)" sold for a record
$39,294 in 2009, according to Guinness World Records. Wilson
left Motown in 1976 and became a born again Christian minister
in Los Angeles.

1965 

Connie Francis was talked into recording “Who’s Sorry Now”
by her father who was adamant that it would be a rock and
roll smash hit. Francis didn’t want to record the song at
first, but used leftover studio time to make the recording
with just two takes as a goodwill gesture to her father. It
rose as high as #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the spring
of 1958.
