                          (January 22, 1934 − November 21, 1993)

Bill Bixby was a film and television actor, director, and frequent game show
panelist. His career spanned over three decades. Bill is best known for his
roles as Tim O’Hara on the CBS sitcom My Favorite Martian, Tom Corbett
on on the ABC comedy-drama series The Courtship of Eddie’s Father,
and Dr. David Banner on the CBS drama series The Incredible Hulk.

BROADWAY THEATRE OPENED ON THIS DAY IN 1927

The Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre opened as the Royale Theatre on January 11, 
1927 on West 45th Street in New York City. It became the home of several CBS  
radio programs including “CBS Radio Playhouse”.

Salvatore "Sal" Mineo, Jr.
(January 10, 1939 – February 12, 1976)
 

Sal Mineo was was a film and theatre actor, best remembered for his role as
John “Plato” Crawford opposite James Dean in the 1955 drama film Rebel
Without a Cause.
He was nominated twice; for the Academy Award for Best
Supporting Actor; once for his  performance in Rebel Without a Cause, and
also for his portrayal of Dov Landau in Exodus (1960).

BROADWAY HIT OPENED ON THIS DAY IN 1957

MUSIC MAN, THE - Robert Preston
Robert Preston

After years of development and a change of producers, the original Broadway
production The Music Man opened on Thursday, December 19, 1957 at the
Majestic Theater in New York City. It won five Tony Awards, including Best
Musical, and also won the New York Critics’ Circle Award for Best Musical. The
show remained at the Majestic for almost three years before transferring to
The Broadway Theater to complete its 1,375-performance run. The production
starred Robert Preston who went on to reprise his role in the 1962 screen
adaptation.
