Olivia Mary de Havilland

Actress Olivia de Havilland portrayed Melanie Hamilton in Gone with the Wind
(1939). Her performance in the 1946 film, To Each His Own, earned her an
Academy Award for Best Actress. She is of British heritage but was born in
Japan. Her first stage production was at the Hollywood Bowl, playing Hermia
in A Midsummer’s night Dream.

ACTOR GARY BUSEY IS 72 TODAY


William Gary Busey was born in
Goose Creek, Texas.

Gary Busey starred in The Buddy Holly Story in 1978, and has also appeared
in Point Break (1991), Lethal Weapon (1991), and Under Siege (1992). 

He was a drummer for country stars such as Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson
before becoming an actor. He went by the name Teddy Jack Eddy. Busey made
his film debut in 1968’s Wild in the Streets

Mel Brooks belongs to an exclusive club of entertainers as the
recipient of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. As a teenager,
he was taught the drums by the great Buddy Rich. In 1961, his
comedy career took a big step forward when he and fellow comic
legend Carl Reiner created a comedy sketch called The 2000
Year Old Man.

ACTOR JOHN CUSACK IS 50 TODAY


John Paul Cusack was born in Evanston, Illinois.

Iconic ’80s actor John Cusack is known for starring in films such as
Say Anything (1989), The Sure Thing (1987), Sixteen Candles (1984),
and Gross Pointe Blank (1987). His other major films include High
Fidelity
(2000) for which he was nominated for the Golden Globe
Award/Best Actor –
 Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. He became
a member of the Piven Theatre Workshop in Chicago while attending
grade school. John Cusack’s sister is actress Joan Cusack, with whom
he has starred in multiple films.

The Hollies’ recording He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother  which features Elton

on piano, was released on December 1, 1969 in the US where it reached
No. 7 on the charts. It was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, England.
