Candice Patricia Bergen was born in Beverly Hills, California.

Edgar Bergen‘s daughter Candice Bergen starred as CBS-TV’s Murphy Brown
(1988-1998). She was nominated for an Academy Award for her film portrayal
of Jessica in Starting Over (1979). She began her career by appearing on her
father’s radio shows and televised guest appearances.

FAMOUS INSULT COMEDIAN IS 90 TODAY!


Donald Jay "Don" Rickles was born in the New York City of Queens.

Don Rickles was a frequent guest on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson
and The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts specials. He also voiced the role of Mr.
Potato Head in the three Toy Story films. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy after his
high school graduation during World War II. He later studied at the American
Academy of Dramatic Arts but quit because of a lack of acting jobs. He then 
began performing stand up comedy in hotels in the Catskill Mountains in New
York. He soon met Frank Sinatra and, as is often said, the rest is history.

SINGER-SONGWRITER IS 71 TODAY


Robert Clark "Bob" Seger was born in Lincoln Park, Michigan.

Rock and roll singer-songwriter Bob Seger rose to fame in the 1970s,
achieving success both as a solo artist and as the frontman for the
silver Bullet Band. His many popular songs include "Turn the Page,"
"Night Moves," "Old Time Rock & Roll" and "Against the Wind."  He
also co-wrote the Eagles’ song "Heartache Tonight," from their hit
1979 album The Long Run. The song reached #1 on the Billboard
Hot 100 and the single sold over a million copies. Seger has stated
that singer Little Richard was the artist who inspired him to become

Frankie Valli
(born Francesco Stephen Castelluccio in Newark,
New Jersey).

Four Seasons with front man Frankie Valli made such hits as "Big Girls Don’t
Cry" (1962) "Sherry" (1962) and “Walk Like a Man” (1963). He was inducted
into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Four Seasons. He worked as a
barber until his singing career was enough to support him. Valli had 29 Top
40 hits with The Four Seasons and 9 more as a solo artist.

Engelbert Humperdinck (born Arnold George Dorsey in India)

English singer Engelbert Humperdinck biggest hit was "Release Me" in
1967 and who also sang "The Last Waltz” on 1967. He started recording 
after he was discharged from the British Army and signed with Decca
Records in 1958. He took on the name Engelbert Humperdinck after the
famed German composer (shown below).
