Clayton Moore (Born Jack Carlton Moore in Chicago, Illinois)
(September 14, 1914 – December 28, 1999)
Clayton Moore was known as the masked man, television’s The Lone
Ranger from 1949–1951 and 1954–1957. He had to train his voice to
sound like the radio version of the Ranger character. A young Moore
became a circus acrobat, performing trapeze acts in various shows
at age 8.
