EVENING SOAP BEGAN ON THIS DAY IN 1978
Popular evening ‘soap-opera’ style television drama ran on CBS television until
1991, when low ratings caused it’s demise. The show spun off the longest-running
prime-time soap ever, KNOTS LANDING.
