British folk singer Mary Hopkin is probably best known for being one of the first
artists to record on the Beatles’ Apple recording label. She got her big break
when model Twiggy saw her perform on a British talent show, who then told
Paul McCartney to check her out. McCartney produced her debut hit single in
1968,Those Were the Days.

I think Mary is quite right about such carry on as Simon Cowl TV. I have always loved her from the start and she has not really changed at all. Time passes just like that pub she sang about. We ran pony trekking in Wales when that hit came about. Those really were the days for me. Hope she has a great day for her birthday.
