King Camp Gillette

King Camp Gillette (January 5, 1855 – July 9, 1932) was a businessman
widely known as the inventor of the safety razor, although several models
were in existence prior to Gillette’s design. Gillette’s innovation was the thin,
inexpensive, disposable blade of stamped steel.

I had one that was issued to my grandfather in World War 1. It was in a khaki colored case and had a shiny piece of stainless steel that was to be used as a mirror. I shaved with it for years.
