FORMER ACTOR AND TV HOST DEAD AT 74
Gary Ennis Collins (April 30, 1938–October 13, 2012)
BILOXI, Mississippi (AP) – Former master of ceremonies for the Miss
America Pageant, Gary Collins has died.
Collins, a resident of Biloxi, Mississippi, died of natural causes just before
1 a.m. Saturday after he was brought to Biloxi Regional Medical Center,
according to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove.
During the 1980s, Collins hosted the Miss America pageant and TV’s
"Hour Magazine."
As an actor he appeared in numerous movies and TV shows dating back
to the 1960s. He was a cast member of the series "The Wackiest Ship in
the Army" in the 1960s, and the star of the series "The Sixth Sense" in
the 1970s.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – The former Beverly Hills home of the late Elvis Presley and
his wife Priscilla is up for sale for a cool $12.9 million. Real estate website operator
Trulia says the home hit the market on Wednesday the 10th.
Like Elvis’ home in Memphis, known as Graceland, Elvis fans have for years flocked
to visit the property. According to the listing, the four bedroom, five bathroom French Regency estate sits on a 1.18 acre promontory overlooking Los Angeles.
According to Elvis Presley Enterprises, Presley first rented the house before the
couple bought it in 1967. It was sold in 1973, the same year Elvis and Priscilla
divorced. The estate was formerly available to lease for $25,000 a month.
