NEIL DIAMOND HAS TURNED 72!

Singer-songwriter Neil Leslie Diamond has sold over 115 million
records worldwide including 48 million in the U.S. alone as of
2001. He is considered to be the third most successful adult
contemporary artist ever on the Billboard chart behind Barbra
Streisand and Elton John. Neil Diamond was inducted into the
Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1984 and the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame in 2011.

Buddy Holly steps off the bus

After terminating his partnership with The Crickets, Buddy Holly
assembled a new band consisting of Waylon Jennings,Tommy
Allsup
, and Carl Bunch to play on the Winter Dance Party tour
along with Dion and the Belmonts, Ritchie Valens, and the Big
Bopper.The musicians set out on a twenty–four day tour of the
mid-western states by bus.

The first stop on the tour was a performance in Milwaukee, Wis. 
at Devines Million Dollar Ballroom (now the Eagles Ballroom).
