Harriet Beecher Stowe (Harriet Elisabeth Beecher)
(June 14, 1811 – July 1, 1896)
Stowe was an American abolitionist and author. Her novel Uncle Tom’s
Cabin (1852) was a depiction of life for African-Americans under slavery.

Univac 1
"Univac I" was a computer designed for the U.S. Census Bureau and billed as the
world’s first commercial computer. The company existed until 1981.
"The Cage" is the first pilot episode of the Star Trek: The Original Series
science fiction series. In this episode, the character Mister Spock, played
by Leonard Nimoy (r) delivers the very first line in all of Star Trek, "Check
the circuit!"
