The first NBC network broadcast of Kukla, Fran and Ollie, with the
Kuklapolitan Players aired from 6–6:30 p.m. Central Time, Monday
through Friday from Chicago. The original series ended in 1957.

Tex Ritter (Woodward Maurice Ritter)
(January 12, 1905 – January 2, 1974)

Tex Ritter, America’s singing cowboy, sang”Deck of Cards” (1948
and “High Noon”, the theme from the movie of the same name. He
is a Country Music Hall of Fame inductee and was the first artist
signed to Capitol Records.
