Goldie Jeanne Hawn was born in Washington, D.C.

Goldie Hawn is an actress, director, producer, and occasional
singer, who rose to fame on NBC television’s Rowan & Martin’s
Laugh-In (1968–70). She won the Academy Award for Best
Supporting Actress and the Golden Globe Award for Best
Supporting Actress for the 1969 film, Cactus Flower. Goldie
is the mother of fellow actress Kate Hudson.

President John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline, arrived in San
Antonio, TX. They were beginning an ill-fated, two-day tour of Texas 
that would end tragically in Dallas.

The Goldbergs began on the NBC radio network as a weekly 15-minute program
called The Rise of the Goldbergs, going daily in 1931. The series moved to CBS
in 1936 with the title shortened to The Goldbergs. The program was devised by
writer/actress Gertrude Berg who portrayed Jewish matriarch Molly Goldberg.
