BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1770
William Clark (August 1, 1770 – September 1, 1838)
Born in Ladysmith, Colony of Virginia.
William Clark explored the American Northwest with Meriwether
Lewis and served as the governor of the Missouri Territory from
1822 to 1838. From 1822 until his death in 1838, he served as
Superintendent of Indian Affairs. He was home-schooled and
grew very self conscious about his poor spelling ability.

GARY LEWIS IS 70 TODAY
Gary Lewis (Gary Harold Lee Levitch)
Musician Gary Lewis was the leader of Gary Lewis & the Playboys and is the
son of comedian and actor Jerry Lewis.
The song "This Diamond Ring", hit number one on Billboard magazine’s Hot
100 chart on February 20, 1965 and made Lewis an instant star.

Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is 69 years old today.
Arnold Schwarzenegger decided to pursue a career as a bodybuilder
at age fourteen, despite demonstrating prowess in football. He became
the youngest person to win the Mr. Universe contest when he was 20
and won four more times after and won the Mr. Universe title seven
times.
